Release notes
Every change to Breeze, newest first.
v1.1.3
LatestAugust 24, 2026
✨New
- The slider now holds the speed you set the moment you release it, while the helper finishes the change in the background. It only falls back to automatic if the change genuinely fails.
v1.1.2
August 24, 2026
🐞Fixes
- Setting a fan speed no longer snaps back to automatic. A safety timer could cancel the change while macOS was still yielding the fans, and a stale retry could undo a change that had already gone through.
- Removed a leftover install path from older versions that could interrupt a helper update midway.
v1.1.1
August 24, 2026
🐞Fixes
- Fan control works again on the latest macOS, where the system held the fans and rejected every change with “SMC result error 130”. Breeze now asks macOS to yield the fans before the first write, then hands them straight back when you return to automatic.
- A failed speed change no longer leaves the helper retrying in the background until the next restart.
v1.1.0
August 16, 2026
✨New
- Fan control turns on with one administrator password prompt. The Login Items approval step is gone.
- A setup window opens on first launch when the helper is missing, explains the one-time install, and shows the result in place.
- The popup and Settings › Fans lead to the same setup, and both say when the helper needs an update or is not responding.
🐞Fixes
- Fan control could stay off with no way to turn it on when macOS lost the helper record, including when Breeze ran from its disk image.
- A helper left over from an older Breeze is detected and replaced instead of failing quietly.
v1.0.1
July 25, 2026
🐞Fixes
- The menu bar temperature no longer flickers on an idle Mac.
v1.0
July 25, 2026
✨New
- Manual fan speed control with a live RPM slider for every fan.
- Per-sensor thermal heatmap covering CPU, GPU, and SoC sensors.
- Menu bar telemetry with a rolling graph, temperature, and fan RPM.
- Fan pressure-aware visuals that shift color as a fan works harder.
- Hidden menu bar style for a completely unobtrusive setup.
- One-time license activation for up to three Macs.
